Hello from the road!
I am writing from a breakfast nook in Lausanne, Switzerland. Today we begin the German portion of our Fall tour (full dates below), just over halfway through our travels. I am having such a good time with the band (Sean Ogilvie, Lauren Jacobson, Mike Kitson), and the audiences have been some of the sweetest ever.
Yesterday, I premiered the new video for my song, “Two Kids”, directed by my friend Ben Fee. Thanks to Ben and the Scandinavia collective for pulling off such wacky, beautiful images, and for giving me the opportunity to dance ridiculously on camera. Watch the video, and read some words about it from Ben and I at Ghettoblaster.
Earlier this week, the sweet folks at Daytrotter released a solo session, recorded while passing through Iowa in June. Find it here.
I’m looking forward to some special solo dates in October and November. First a cathedral show, October 8, in Seattle (joined by the Passenger String Quartet on a few songs), with Jeremy Enigk and Tomo Nakayama.
Then, I’ll be doing a run of shows across the Southern US with amazing performer (and person), Kishi Bashi!
